Born in Lebret, Saskatchewan, Eileen Elizabeth Horsley (born Olson), was the twin sister of Kathleen (deceased), sister of Frances, Theresa, Lillian (deceased) and William (deceased). Married to Trevor Lorne Horsley (deceased), they were the proud parents of three children: Kathleen “Kate” Daller (deceased), Mark Horsley, and Susan Brison. Eileen was the proud grandmother of Julian, Miguel, Alejandra and Trevor, and great-grandmother of Noah and Senna. After leaving Lebret, SK, Eileen’s life took her to Cassiar, BC, where her husband Trevor worked as a mining engineer, and they continued to raise their three children. They also resided for a time in Toronto, ON, before settling long-term in Vancouver, BC. After Trevor’s passing, Eileen moved to Ottawa, ON to be closer with her family.Eileen and Trevor both had challenging childhoods, as did many in those Depression years. They learned and believed in hard work, honesty and doing the right thing, and were well known for their generosity and kindness to all in times of need.The family wishes to thank the Madonna Care Community for their excellent care of Eileen during her peaceful final days. A memorial will be held at Capital Memorial Gardens, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa on October 11th, 2019 at 3:00 pm.
