Andrea Purvis (nee Vaillancourt) – Peacefully on December 14, 2017 at Bruyere Palliative Care Centre after a brave fight with cancer.  Born in Halifax, N.S. on November 11, 1942, daughter of the late Roland (Val) Vaillancourt and Jean Allen.  Predeceased by her cherished husband Blaikie Purvis of Montreal.  She is survived by her sister Deanna Beaudry (Gilles), brother Roland Vaillancourt (Doreen Gobby), and Deanna’s children Renee, Kim, and Marc. Also survived by Blaikie’s children, Michael, Christopher, Andrew, and Lois Mary.  The family thanks her dedicated private caregivers Ellen, Leola, and Kyshawne who supported Andrea and her family these last few months. Donations in her memory may be made to the A.
