In loving memory of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Irma/Mom/Omi, Irma Agnes Karczewski (nee Thiel) who slipped away quietly in the presence of loved ones on October 13 2022 just three weeks after her 103^rd birthday. Irma was born in Germany September 24 1919 at the end of World War One and lived there throughout the Second World War. She later immigrated to Canada with her husband Friedrich Otto (deceased 1954) and their children.  Irma lived a long and eventful life. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years Horst Karczewski (deceased 2010).  She is survived by her six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren living in Canada, the United States and Germany and her younger brother, also living in Germany, with whom she was recently re-united at the age of 99 and her beloved little dog Fiona.

Irma was a strong, independent and resilient spirit with many new beginnings and will be missed deeply by family, friends and caregivers.  We love you for your strength. We have many lessons to learn from you. May you rest in peace.
