David W. Langille

Aug 16, 1964 - Oct 16, 2023

David W. Langille (August 16, 1964-October 16, 2023), born in Nova Scotia, raised all across Canada and long time resident of Ontario passed away peacefully in his home.

David was pre-deceased by his Mom (Sylvia) and Dad (Donald), his daughter (Yvonne) and his first wife (Marlene).

Survived by his sisters, Ivy (Kevin), Pamela (Gary) and Holly (Bryan) and their families, his children, Joshua, Katherine (Kent), Kenneth, Gregory (Alyssa) and Eli, his second wife (recently separated) Heidi, many ‘children of his heart’ including Rayjean (Tamara), Susan, Jessica, Nellynn, Simon, Sam, Hailey, Magann, Nevaeh and Skylar. He leaves behind his faithful dog Bear as well.

David had a wandering soul and traveled across North America, including Texas and Nunavut before becoming a stay at home Dad. He had a hand in raising many children as a foster parent for 10 years. He had a passion for the outdoors and taught his children the joys of bow and arrows, knife throwing, camping and other outdoor pursuits. He was a gifted writer and wrote extensively about Wild Canada for his own collection and to share with his family and friends. He enjoyed strategy games, war and action movies and making up silly songs on the spot.

A drop in style memorial will take place Tuesday October 24, 2023, 3:00-8:00pm at Richelieu Vanier Community Centre, Salle Accueil Hall, 300 des Pères-Blancs Ave, Ottawa Ontario.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Ottawa would be very much appreciated. https://cafott.ca/
