Andrew David Horgan passed away in an accident in Ottawa on March 31, 2025. He was a brilliant, funny, musical, and caring young man we were lucky to get 22 years with. Andrew was born and grew up in London, Ontario, and he loved living in Ottawa where he’d been on and off since 2020, studying computer science at university and recently working as a proofreader. He explored nature throughout the city and Gatineau and took stunning photos. He was a frequent visitor at the National Gallery and climbing gyms. He talked and played online games daily with his sister, Julia, who is devastated to lose her anchor in life. He also leaves behind the rest of his family who had so much more love to give him: his mother, Karen Lowry, father, David, uncles, aunt, cousins, great aunts and uncles, and grandparents. Cremation and a private ceremony were held. To honour Andrew’s passion for the outdoors, we ask that any memorial donations be made to Ontario Parks or any nature conservancy on the 23rd anniversary of his birth, August 15, 2025.
