November 27, 1929 – March 22, 2019

Eternal rest grant unto our father and grandfather.

In great sadness, our father has peacefully passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 with his family by his bedside. The husband of Maria (2017), father of Eric (Isabelle 2013), Gordon (Gloria), Cynthia, Maurice and grandfather of Mary-Elizabeth.

A Dutch immigrant, a hardworking Canadian businessman, a dedicated volunteer to his Church and other organizations and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Always kind and well liked by everyone around him.

Funeral Mass (Latin) will take place at St. Clement Parish, 528 St-Patrick Street, Ottawa, ON K1N 5L5 on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2 PM.

All are welcomed, as well as your prayers and thoughts.

I have fond memories of being invited to Filip’s home when we were visiting Ottawa. I remember good food, great conversation and a very gracious man who made us feel so welcomed. May he rest in peace! My condolences to Eric and Mary Elizabeth.
