I was very shocked to hear of Lise’s passing.

I was engaged to Lise for almost 4 years and I found Lise to be one of the kindest people I have ever met. While together, she made me extremely happy and treated my son as one of her own (along with her Rodney and Guy).

In the last week, I have been visiting memories of Lise that I had locked away for a very long time. While some made me grin and others made me giggle, many brought tears to my eyes. She was a special person, that passed way too young!

When attending functions or family gatherings with Lise, I would get a funny feeling. I would search for Lise. Whether she was sitting across the table or across the room from me, I would usually find her staring at me. She would then wink at me and which would make my heart flutter. I would then return the wink, which would make her laugh (Apparently, I can’t wink).

To be honest, I would have loved to get that feeling just once more!
