Robert (Bob) Doran May 27, 1945-March 8, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Doran, Warrant Officer (Ret’d), Medic, Canadian Armed Forces, on March 8th, 2025, at the age of 79. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (Opa), and a proud Canadian Armed Forces veteran.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dad served with distinction in the Canadian Armed Forces for 32 years, serving in Germany (Lahr & Baden), Italy (after the earthquake), Petawawa, Ottawa (Rockcliffe & Uplands) and Base Borden.  He completed back-to-back tours in Alert.  He made many lifelong friends during the course of his service and remembered his time in the military with great fondness.

Beyond his military career, Bob was a loving and dedicated family man. He was predeceased by his loving wife of over 50 years, Monika.  He leaves behind his son Thomas (Monica Perdomo), his daughter Tricia and his cherished grandsons William Doran and Alexander Larocque who will forever cherish the memories of his unwavering love, support, and guidance. We have so many wonderful memories.

Dad was an avid woodworker, he could fix anything, he was a kind and generous soul, always willing to help a friend or stranger.  He brought much laughter into our lives with his great sense of humour and storytelling.

We miss him terribly but take solace in the fact that he is now pain free and reunited with the love of his life Monika.

Rest easy Dad/Opa, till we meet again.
