PERRON, Reine-Aimee Alda

The family announces with sorrow her passing away on March 12, 2017 at the age of 89, at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa.

She was the daughter of Joseph Dufresne and Raoulia (Champagne) (late Oswald Lafond) and preceded by her loving husband Médéric Perron, and leaves in grief her three children, Rhéal (Suzanne de Carufel), Jocelyne (Jean-Luc Pelletier) (late Frank Lannan) and Michel (Chantale).

She also leaves in mourning her siblings, Gracia (Germain) Charpentier, and Marcel (late Claudette) Dufresne. She was preceded by her siblings, Florence (late Donald) Legault, Georgette ( late André) Legault, Gabrielle Dufresne, Sister Henriette Dufresne, Lucienne (late Gaston) Gélinas, and all her late husband’s siblings, Joseph, Patrick, Alice Vachon, Annette Shank, Aurore St. Germain, Ida Lanoue, Victoire Guy, Louisa Guy, Alma Ménard, Maria Cousineau and Yvonne Boudreault-Labelle.

Reine-Aimée was also the grandmother to Patrick Perron (Yolaine Jodoin), Sébastien Perron (Lissa Desjardins), Aimée Gabriel, Eric (Marlis) Gabriel, Mathieu (Frédérik Beauchamp) Perron, Caroline (Pierre-Paul) Perron. She was equally the great grandmother to Rosalie and Isabelle Perron and Chloé Proulx.

She was also step-grandmother to Louise Lannan (late Corey) Trudeau, Cathy Lannan (Michel) Courchesne, Colleen Lannan (Curtis) Sarvas and Rosanne Lannan (Andrew) Grimston, and many step grandchildren.

She was equally the beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews from the northern Ontario area of both the Perron and Dufresne families.

During her stay in Sturgeon Falls, Reine-Aimée worked as a bookkeeper with Médé in the family business of MC Perron Construction Ltd. She also worked at the Sturgeon Falls Hospital in the personnel office and later on for the Unemployment Insurance offices in both Sturgeon Falls and Ottawa, and finished her career at the National Research Council (NRC), on Montréal Road.

She enjoyed playing piano, was very close to family, a great cook and fantastic host. In her later years enjoyed crocheting tea towels for family and friends, and developed close relationships with residents and staff while staying at Beacon Heights.
