Mr. Boniface Eli

Boniface Eli was born to Petronilla Ndila Eli and the late Joseph Eli Kavoi on June 5, 1956. He immigrated from Kenya in the mid-1980s, and received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at McGill University in Montréal. He then worked for The Canada Revenue Agency until his retirement in the late 2010s. In his spare time, he loved computer programming and read a handful of coding textbooks. As the life of the party, he was a huge fan of disco and pop music, and had a large collection of vinyl records. He also loved watching television, particularly stand-up and sketch comedy shows. And as a hobby, he admired photography and owned various film cameras. Boniface Eli passed away suddenly on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the age of 65. He leaves in sadness his adored daughter Kayla Eli, and his ex-girlfriend Evelyn Munihiri. He also leaves in sorrow multiple brothers and sisters, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. He was predeceased by one brother. In memory of Mr. Eli, donations to The University of Ottawa Heart Institute. A graveside service will be held on June 28, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Notre-Dame Cemetery, 455 Montreal Road, Ottawa.
