September 15, 1949 – September 26, 2019

After one hell of a party and a courageous battle on September 26^th, 2019 at 10:45 pm surrounded by his loved ones, he slipped away peacefully into a slumber.  It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ronald Allen Montgomery, born on September 15^th, 1949 in Ottawa Ontario, raised in North Gower and Kars area. Son of Kenneth Wesley Montgomery and Edna Jean (nee Taylor). Brother to Douglas (Susan), Hugh (Laurie) and Vicki. Dear father to Geoffrey of Manitoba, Corissa Harrison (Liam) of Ottawa and Kathleen/Katie Laroche Montgomery (Scott) of the Ottawa Valley area. Grandfather and Papa to Maddison, Michaela, Abaigael, Aleigha, Charlotte, Montgomery “Lil Monty”, Hannah Rose, Mary Frances and Iris Mae.  Partner of Theresa Deschamps of Eliot Lake for 23 years, whose children Kerri Ann, Daune (Lyn) and John (Shelly) along with their children will also feel this deep void that Ron filled. Uncle to Bradly, Katlyn and Rebecca of Guelph and Sean and Leila of Ottawa.  Monty will be so deeply missed by so many, especially by all of his devoted friends, from his Coteau-du-Lac, C.A.T. days in Mississauga, Bruce R Smith, and Caravan, always a devoted employee, mentor and friend with a big heart.  The family wishes to thank the teams of doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences North Hospital.
