Monique Moncrieff (nee Sincennes)

Monique passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2026, at the age of 70.
Dear daughter of the late Gérard Sincennes and the late Françoise
Desjardins.
 
She is lovingly remembered by her children Patrick (Julie Chartrand) and
Mélissa, who were her greatest joy. She was the cherished grandmother
to her beloved Carter, whose presence brought her immense happiness.
 
She will be deeply missed by her partner, Philip Gerrard, whose
companionship brought her comfort and joy. She also leaves behind her
sister Joanne Serafin (Robert), along with extended family, nieces, and
nephews, all of whom will hold her memory close.
 
A loyal and steadfast friend, Monique built lifelong bonds defined by
warmth, sincerity, and quiet generosity. She will be remembered for her
genuine kindness, her hospitality, and the love she shared with all.
 
A celebration of Monique’s life will be announced in the coming weeks.
Interment will take place in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery in
Ottawa, Ontario.
 
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at The
Ottawa Hospital – General Campus for their compassionate care.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations to the CHEO Foundation are appreciated in
honour of her deep fondness for the organization.

    Monic was such a wonderful lady, a blessing to have spent time with her over the years.

    It’s so very sad to learn of the passing of such a wonderful, kind and generous lady. She was loved by many and I feel very grateful to have know her and to have spent such fun times with her. I have only very fond memories.
    Take good care as you go through the difficult months ahead without her.

    Dear Patrick Melissa and family so deeply sorry for your loss we met durning our sons Hockey and became immediate friends we had many a laugh and fun times Bowling a boat holiday many a party loads of get togethers
    Many are gone now of the 5 couples lots of great times and fond memories always in our hearts
