MONAHAN, Ervin John of Richmond, Ontario, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, November 8th, 2021 at the age of 71. Loving husband of Audrey Monahan (van Galder). Cherished and loving father of Nigel (Alissa), Stephanie (Pat Villeneuve) and Doting Grampy. Beloved son of late James Monahan and late Eva Beckstead (late Glen) and son in-law of Elisabeth and late Adrian van Galder. Dear brother of Mel (Barb) and brother-in-law of Neil (Cheryl Green), Mary (Rick Ladouceur), Bert (Colleen), Corry (late Berne Dube), Lucy (John Compton), late Betty (Rick and Jenn Nesseth), Peter, Adrian (Jun), Nancy (Garnett Williamson), Paul (Merrianne). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives in the Netherlands, and Friends. Ervin was very artistic. He also loved listening to his favourite music on his turntable, from Rock, Blues, and Classical. He also enjoyed getting out for a round of golf. Ervin was an employee of Sander Geophysics for 49 years. For the wonderful care given to Ervin and family during his final days with us, the family wishes to thank Nurse Amanda and all the nurses from St. Elizabeth’s, and all the nurses and doctors at the Ottawa General Hospital Cancer Center, Ottawa Civic Heart Institute, Queensway Carleton Hospital Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Center, Queensway Carleton Hospital. Ervin’s family would like to invite people to the Celebration of Ervin’s Life on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 1:00PM to 7:00PM at The Royal Canadian Legion Richmond #625 Branch, 6430 Ottawa Street, Richmond, Ontario. In Ervin’s memory, for those wishing, donations may be made to the St Elizabeth Foundation, Ottawa Heart Institute, Queensway Carleton Hospital Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Center, Ottawa Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada.
