Peacefully with her daughter and son-in-law by her side on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 Nettie Mascaro got off the bus and went Home to join her beloved husband of 51 years, the late Bernard Mascaro. Dearly loved mother of Lauretta (Joe), cherished grandmother of Ashley (Jake) and Anthony and great-granddaughter Allyson. Dear sister of Anita Canty (Jim), Jeaneen Dolan (Don) and Carol Casey.

To honour Nettie’s wish cremation has taken place. No visitation. A Mass in celebration of Nettie’s life will be held on Thursday August 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima and a reception will follow in the Parish Hall; 153 Woodroffe Ave Ottawa ON K2A 3T8.

Known as Jeanette by everyone at the Ottawa Salvation Army Grace Manor, a special thank you from her family to all the kind nurses, doctors, staff and volunteers for their professional and compassionate care.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the Ottawa Salvation Army Grace Manor and would be greatly appreciated.

    I was so sad to hear of your mother’s passing. My sincere sympathies and deepest condolences. May you find comfort know you are in my thoughts and prayers and may the happy and wonderful memories carry you through the difficult times ahead. Someone once said “it’s not how long the flower blooms but how beautifully”. RIP beautiful angel
