March 20, 1935 – January 13, 2018. Sadly, our cherished father passed away in hospital as the result of a stroke. Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife Frances in 2013. Left to mourn are his children, Peter (Lucie), Laura, and Liza (Brian), his adored grandchildren, Jackie (Gregory), Kenny, and Leah, his darling great-granddaughter Lily, sisters Sheila and Gene, brother Terrence, brother-in-law Jerry, many nieces and nephews, and the extended family at the cottage.
Golden Gloves champ, respected union representative and later, restaurateur, Dad was well-loved for his fairness, generosity, and gentle ways. Dad was a life-long Habs and Alouettes fan, an avid composter, rock collector, fire-maker, and a great story-teller. Dinners at the cottage were always an event, and everyone was welcome to enjoy perfectly barbequed meat, hard potatoes and donuts cut into quarters.
Sadly, these last few years Dad suffered some memory loss and the desire to cook, but he never lost his open, friendly ways with loved ones and strangers alike.
A Celebration of Life to honour Ken will be held at the cottage at a later date still to be determined.

Dear Laura, Liza, and Peter: I was so glad I had the opportunity to get re-acquainted with my Uncle Ken (his sister, Edna, was my mom) over the phone these past few years. We had such enjoyable, hour long talks the times we spoke, I never knew he was suffering memory loss. What a nice man. I know he will be missed by a lot of people. And what a good looking young guy he was — like one of the Everly Brothers or James Dean. I have a photo of him that my mother saved from the newspaper from years ago of him fighting in the ring which I will try to find and send you a copy of. Laura, my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your dad. It is never easy to lose a parent, no matter your age. Hopefully the memories of your dad will comfort you at this time. Ken will be remembered each time there is a campfire burning up north…..xoxo
Laura, Liza & Peter…. My deepest heart felt sympathies to the loss of your Father. I remember him well in the years past. Loved his devotion & love to his so dearest wife, children, grand kids as well his Canadiens family. Heaven just received an angel who will always guide you’s. God Bless!
Kenny’s ability to make you laugh just by laughing was an art form … I am so fortunate that my path crossed with his. Love and hugs to all of you.
