It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Lawless (nee Kennedy) early on the morning of February 8, 2021 at the age of 89, peacefully and with family by her side. Joan will always be remembered for her great sense of humour, courage, generosity, compassion and dedication to her family. Loving wife of Denis (predeceased), mother of Judy (Louie), Marie (Scott), Dan (Sandi) and Nancy and grandmother of Shawn, Jeffery (predeceased), Jake, Kayla, Steve, Christine and Kandra, and great grandmother of Declan, Desmond, Riley, Penelope and Marlow. The family thanks the doctors, nurses and staff of the Montfort Hospital for the compassionate care and support provided during the past two weeks. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Ottawa when it is safe to do so.
