Jun 10, 1953 - Aug 29, 2023
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my mother Darlene Lavergne, age 70 of Ottawa, Ontario. Darlene took her last breath in the early hours of August 29th, 2023. She was extremely strong and brave, enduring a long and very difficult battle with a second occurrence of breast cancer. She is now finally at peace and will be forever loved and remembered. Darlene is survived by her son Justin, grand-nephew Adam, grand-niece Darla, as well as an abundance of her loving friends. She was predeceased by her sister Debbie, niece Cheryl, nephew Shawn, grand-nephew Vinnie, and her ex-spouse my father Robert. We will miss her more than words can express. No funeral services will take place as she requested, but I do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time. Her celebration of life will be announced privately.
Justin, we are very saddened to know that your mother passed away, she will be remembered for her kindness . I, Teresa, worked with your mother many years ago at The Auditor General’s Office and at The city of Ottawa. She struggled with her health issues for a very long time and was a very strong woman. Andre and I also knew you and your mom when you were a child and played hockey in Blackburn Hamlet. May Darlene rest in peace.
Justin,
Celine and I want to offer you our deepest and most sincere condolences.
Our hearts and our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Your mom was a great person, she’s now at peace with your dad.
Please reach out anytime you feel or need to, we are there for you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Darlene through her sister Debbie many years ago. She was always so nice & caring. We had many good times together.
My sincere condolences Justin. My dear friend Darlene, I miss you so much. I miss our weekly long chat over the phone, and our chat at your home. You have always said “we will be friends until were old and forgetful, then we will be new friends”. You will forever stay in my heart Darlene. Justin, your mom was so proud of you and loved you so much.
My sincerest sympathies to you Justin and all of Darlene’s close family and friends. Her strength and determination is something to be admired . Your mother will forever live on in our hearts and minds. May she rest peacefully.
With all my love and support.

Dear Justin & family,
words cannot express the deep sadness that I feel due to the loss of your sweet Mother Darlene and my dear friend of more than twenty years! We shared lots of laughter and sometime tears too.
I wish you strength and the ability to endure such a grave loss.
May her memory be a blessing.
She will be forever in your heart!
Justin, my sincere condolences. My deepest respect
to your Mom. She was very courageous. May she rest in peace.
Aunt Nicole
My deepest sympathies to you Justin. Thinking of you during these difficult times. May you rest in peace Darlene.
My dearest condolences to you Justin. Your mother was always part of our family and a dear friend to my mother, she will be greatly missed.
I was devastated to hear of Darlene‘s passing, and still am. I think of her with tears and a smile.. 10 years ago we became Facebook friends over a common interest , and have remained friends until her passing. We marveled at our similarities, and the fact that we were both Geminis, who were born so close together in June. She loves life and her family and especially her son Justine and her sister who she missed. I’d like to think they are both together now making up for lost time. I’m so grateful for our friendship, and she will never be forgotten.
Our deepest condolences on your loss from me and my family. She was a very nice woman and i’m happy we got to call her our aunt.
