It is with great sadness that family announces Lise Kelly’s passing at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on the morning of November 9, 2021 after a sudden illness. In her final days, she was surrounded with love from her two daughters and five grandchildren.

Lise was a devoted mother and grandmother – a force of nature with a very big heart. She was known for her sharp wit, unparalleled sense of humour and sage advice. Her ability to lighten the mood with a sarcastic joke will not be forgotten. Her grandchildren especially appreciated that she checked in with them on a daily basis, sharing family updates, photos and thoughts on current events with the help of her trusty iPad. No matter the situation, you could always count on Gma.

Lise will be greatly missed by her daughters, Gail Kelly and Lynn Kelly, and her grandchildren, Sophia Fedio, Chloé Fedio, Nicholas Kelly (Valérie Leblanc), Meaghan Kelly (John Dumont) and Shannon Kelly.

Left to mourn is her sister Pierrette Belleau, her in-laws Jackie Bergeron-Gauthier, Pauline Lauzon, Philippe (Annette) Kelly, Diane (Réal) Laurin, Gil (Diane) Kelly, Jim (Liliane) Kelly, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her former husband Clarence Kelly.

Funeral mass will be held at Annunciation of the Lord Parish (2414 Ogilvie Road) in Ottawa on November 12 at 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of her life in the parish hall from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
