Jean-Guy Desormeaux

Jul 01, 1960 - Nov 19, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean-Guy Desormeaux announces his passing after a valiant battle with cancer, at the age of 62, on November 19, 2022.

Born on July 1, 1960, Jean-Guy was one of seven children of the late Oscar and Jeanette (Patry) Desormeaux. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Raymond Desormeaux.

Jean-Guy will be dearly missed by his wife, Doris McAllister, and his children: Cory Desormeaux (Shannon Cléroux), Jack Desormeaux (Nichelle Morris), and Kaytlyn Desormeaux, as well as his grandchildren: Alyssa, Everley, Willow, Skyler, Fiona, and Oaklyn.

He will also be remembered by his sisters: Alice (Grant Burley), Hélèn (Jean Carrière), Louise, Jacqueline, and Jeannine (Mario Ouellette), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jean-Guy will be remembered for his heart of gold and willingness to help whenever he could, even when his health deteriorated. His undeniable love for his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as his affection for all those he loved, will be greatly missed. We are forever grateful for his love and support and for being a beautiful example of a selfless human being.

His family is at peace knowing that he is no longer suffering and that he is now reunited with his parents and brother.

At Jean-Guy’s request, no funeral service will be held. A burial and celebration of life will take place at a later date
