It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Healey (formerly of Montreal, QC) announce her sudden passing on October 3, 2020 at the age of 87.
Mary had a long career with the Montreal Catholic School Commission, loved to travel, study, paint, bake and spend time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of her Catholic Church community for many years, and was always helping those in need.
Predeceased by her dear parents Alfred and Rose Healey, loving mother to Brian (Leanne), Elizabeth, and Jennifer (Matthew). Beloved and devoted grandmother to Hannah and Liam, and dear sister of Irene (Bill) and Madeleine, and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. She will be greatly missed by several family members and friends.
Due to current restrictions, a private service will be held for immediate family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for extended family and friends.
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rain fall softly on your fields,
And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

I am very lucky to have some wonderful memories of Aunty Mary. I remember visiting her in her apartment in Montreal and during her trips to Ontario. She was always thoughtful and never missed a birthday. Aunty Mary was a patient person and once taught me to crochet granny squares. Thinking of you all at this sad time and sending my love. We are so very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. She was an incredibly talented person sharing her many talents with her friends.. A most generous, kind, loving friend and her move to Ottawa was a difficult decision as she left us all behind. You have joined God’s Heavenly choir, Mary, watching over all of us. RIP dearest friend.

I have many wonderful memories of you; your infectious giggle and hearty laugh, your arts and crafts, riding the bus with you in Montreal and learning to love Montreal like you did, playing with your wonderful children who are my dear cousins and so much more.
