It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father Allan James Gilbert after a long battle with cancer.

He was predeceased by his parents Cedric & Mary Gilbert.

He is survived by wife Merle Gilbert; son Michael (Lesia) Gilbert; his grandchildren Donovan, Riley, Brayden Gilbert; his brothers Jeff (Jan) Gilbert, Brian (Celeste) Gilbert; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

He was a great father and even more wonderful grandfather. His grandchildren loved to have him come over and babysit them.

He loved golf, and was very good at using his hands to make and fix things. He was always willing to help out even if he shouldn’t have been.

He will be missed very much.

There will be a Celebration of his Life, on September 11th, 2021, between 2-4 pm, at 1014 Red Spruce Street. It will be a casual affair. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
