José Antonio Garcia May 4, 1941 to July 10, 2018 – Jose (77) passed away peacefully on July 10, 2018 with his family by his side. Beloved husband to Juana, father to Sergio (Audrey), Carla (Justin), Adrian and David (Michele) and grandfather to Noah and Max. Jose is survived by his siblings Manolo (Carmen), Estrella and Carmen (Jose Luis) and extended family in Spain.  José was known and loved deeply by everyone he met; he greeted everyone in his path with a warm smile and a friendly joke. José lived his life to the fullest and will be missed deeply. We will keep you close to our hearts and never forget how much you made us smile and appreciate being together. A celebration of life for close family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 14 at La Rome (430 Preston Street, Ottawa/Ontario) from 2-4pm.

    Juanita, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I only heard of this today. 77 is young today but nonetheless a very good number of years. I know you will miss him a lot. Take comfort in the beautiful family you created together and all the wonderful times you shared.

    Deepest condolences for your loss. Jose was a good man who always put his family first above everything else. He’ll be sorely missed especially amongst our family. Dice hola a Francisco y Catherine por nosotros.

    Nos sincères condoléances !
    C’est avec beaucoup de tristesse que nous avons appris la décès de Mr. José Garcia.
    Malgré que nous avons eu juste l’opportunité de le croiser brièvement à quelques occasion, il était clair que c’est un papa extraordinaire, chaleureux et sympathique et qui laissera un très bon souvenir pour tous ceux qui l’ont connu.

    Querida Juani y familia,
    Sentimos mucho la perdida de Jose pues sucedio tan rapido que no pudimos ni despedirnos. Ahora el ya descansa en Paz.
    Yo conoci a Jose desde el primer momento cuando llegue a Canada con los Padres Blancos, pues el solia venir a misa los domingos; despues Jose me ayudo cuando era estudiante a comprar mi primer coche, a comprar juntos nuestra primera casa y a convivir en la misma casa. Fue el padrino de nuestra boda Siempre le estare agradecido por ser un fiel y excelente amigo y por ese espiritu alegre y positivo que impartia a todos con quienes se relacionaba. Echare de menos todos esos maravillosos momentos que hemos pasado juntos durante casi 50 anyos, viajes a Niagara, fiestas en el centro espanyol, fiestas en el sotano de la casa de Ogilvie Road y muchos otros ratos.
    Jose, ten en cuenta que tus amigos seguiremos a tus ordenes “Capitan”
