Jul 24, 2020
Bert passed away suddenly July 24, 2020 while happily working on his home. Beloved husband of 45 years to Dawn. Loving father to Caleigh (Sean), Amy (Brian), and Ryan (Heather). Adored grandfather to Averley, Kohen, Hazel and Vivian. He is mourned and will be missed by the extensive Dewsbury and Beamish families. Together with Dawn, and on his own, Bert made many good friends whose company he enjoyed and with whom he shared his ability to repair most anything.
Bert was an amazing Renaissance man with a wonderful appetite for life having a plethora of eclectic interests: theater, flying, motorcycles, building exquisitely crafted canoes, and restoring classic boats. An avid fisherman and hunter, he also loved good food and drink, and was a bread maker extraordinaire – a pro in the kitchen.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart And Stroke Foundation would be appreciated hsf.donorportal.ca
