DEVER, Kathryn “Kitty”

Jul 03, 1947 - Feb 25, 2019

DEVER, Kathryn “Kitty” (nee Kennedy), July 3, 1947 – February 25, 2019.  Kitty passed away in her sleep after more than 50 years fighting MS. She was predeceased by her infant son, Jay. Left to mourn is her husband Dan, their children Janet (Scott McCaig) and Matthew (Susan), grandchildren Grayson, Jake and Peyton; Oliver and Scarlett, and sister Holly Carmanico. Kitty’s Sense of humour, wit, stubborn independence, and love for the critters lined up at her back door waiting for hand-outs, will be greatly missed. Lynn Jamieson and Catherine Cole were her close friends from their youth who kept Kitty in laughter throughout the years.

The team of Personal Support Workers, doctors and nurses from the Queensway-Carleton and especially the Elisabeth-Bruyere Hospitals succeeded in making Kitty’s final year more bearable – Thank You. A private family remembrance service will be held at a later date.

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Kitty, though I have the pleasure of knowing her daughter Jan who apparently has inherited some of her beloved mom’s best traits.

Sending my love to Jan, her family and all who mourn Kitty Dever. May she Rest In Peace.
