It is with great sadness the family announces Alex’s passing on March 22,2020 at the age of 31. Beloved son of Maureen Couvrette and Guido D’Alessandro. Dearly missed by his siblings Christian D’Alessandro and Laura D’Alessandro. He is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles: Colleen, Nancy, Cathy, Gina, Paul, Michael, Giancarlo, Giovanni and Giuseppe as well as many cousins both here in Canada and the Dominican Republic.
Alex was a gentle soul and always kind-hearted to all he met. He was a cat lover, an avid gamer and enjoyed a game of Texas Hold em’. Alex was a loving and dedicated son who will be missed immensely by his family and friends.
A celebration in honor of his life will take place at a later date.
For those who wish, donations to the Ottawa heart institute or the Hemochromatosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
I want to say so much but I cannot find the words. I am so sorry for your loss, I knew Alex for almost 25 years, we were in elementary together all the way to CEGEP, He was a dear friend and a great man. He always looked out for his friends and family, he had true character and was such a kind soul. I will miss him deeply. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
Our condolences,
Gavin and Caroline Scharfe

I was shocked and saddened to hear how things turned so quickly for the worse as we hoped and prayed for positive signs. This loss is so tragic given his age and complicated emerging health issues. No mother expects to lose even an adult child. I grieve with your family and will cherish my nephews even more.
How terrible, Maureen! Such tragedy for you!
Dear Maureen…how to even imagine your pain! So much in our thoughts! Elizabeth
Dear Maureen and Family,
