It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing of a much loved wife and mother, Debra Anne Courchesne (Bowers) passed away September 5, 2019 at 2:40 am, surrounded by her loving husband and daughter at the Heart Institute in Ottawa. The world was a brighter place when she was born in Victoria, BC to her late parents Margaret and Leonard Bowers.  She is survived by her adoring husband Christian of 39 years and her loving daughter Sarah (Braydon).  Left to honour Debbie and always remember her everlasting love is her family and friends, June (Ted), Randy, Terry (Dorothy), Lenny (Karen), Rick (Evelynn), Judy, Patti, Christaine (Yves), Dannielle (Jasmin), Denis and Pierre.  She has some very close friends Margaret (Carl), Sandra, Ruth (Rich), Heather, Edith and Stephanie and many more loving friends. She has many Nieces and nephews she deeply cared for.  Debbie was one of a kind.  She had such a beautiful, loving heart and soul. She deeply cared for everyone she loved. She loved to shop, go to concerts and Broadway shows with her daughter she enjoyed watching hockey, She was a firecracker with so much to offer the world.  In December she received part of her daughter’s liver and surgery was a success.  She fought courageously to the end when her heart wasn’t strong enough.  She was our Warrior.  We want to thank the nurses at the Heart Institute CCU-B for the amazing care and kindness she received during her stay and till the end.  In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to Trillium Gift of life or the heart Institute.   A Celebration of life will take place at the family home on Saturday September 14 from 1-4pm and in Victoria, BC on November 17, 2019.  Mum Debbie, you will forever be missed, remembered and loved. You will now live on through us. XO
