CLARKSON, Catherine Theresa (nee Buchler). Born May 7, 1959, passed September 28, 2021. Devoted and loving wife of Lorne, sister to Laurie Wood (Daryl), and Alisa Tryon (Kevin), aunt to Garrett and Kira Tryon and daughter of the late Mary Lou and Gunter Buchler. Catherine was a dedicated teacher with the Niagara Catholic School Board where she touched and enriched the lives of hundreds of students. Known as Cate, Catherine was a published playwright, an artist, fluent in German and an accomplished theatre actress and singer. Her love of music and singing took her to many corners of the world such as the Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Mexico and Ecuador where she was known as the singer with perfect pitch. Catherine was an outdoor and nature enthusiast and volunteered countless hours at the Shaver Hospital for Sick Children. Her many joys included her cats, hiking, kayaking and spending time outdoors. She will be greatly missed. A private ceremony will be held for immediate family members only. In memory of Catherine, donations to the Thorold Community Theater (thoroldtheater.ca) are greatly appreciated.
