His family announces with sorrow his passing on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 73. Son of the late Hermidas Cardinal and the late Anita St-Jean. Beloved husband of Denise Cléroux. Dear father of Pauline White (Ernie). Cherished grandfather of Yves (Natasha) and predeceased by Sylvain. Great-grandfather of Owyn and Silas. Survived by his siblings Rolland (Nancy), Helene and Gilles. Predeceased by his brother Robert.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the team at Orleans Palliative Care as well as the team of RN’s from CareFor Health and Community Services.
At Richard’s request there will be no service or visitation.
La famille annonce avec regret son décès le 16 décembre 2019 à l’âge de 73 ans. Fils de feu Hermidas Cardinal et de feu Anita St-Jean. Époux bien-aimé de Denise Cléroux. Chère père de Pauline White (Ernie). Pépère adoré de Yves (Natasha) et prédécédé par Sylvain. Il laisse en deuil ses arrières-petit fils : Owyn et Silas. Frère de Rolland (Nancy), Helene, Gilles et feu Robert.
La famille aimerait remercier l’équipe formidable du « Orleans Palliative Care » ainsi que les RN du « CareFor Health and Community Services ».
En respectant les vœux de Richard, il n’y aura aucun service ni visites.

I only met Richard a few months a go but he was very kind for my brother. Thank you Richard. RIP

Wishing my deepest condolences to Denise, Pauline (Ernie), Yves (Natasha), and the rest of Mr. Cardinal’s relatives… I’ll never forget my first job which Richard and Denise gave me while camping up at Cedar Haven camp grounds, I had the pleasure of bagging groceries and then taking them out to all the customers vehicles with the help of my best friend Sly… and Yves was our awesome “boss” to keep us in line! wow what I would do to go back, rest in paradise Mr.Cardinal you will be missed my many!
My sympathies to DENISE and Pauline also his family. I will miss Richard but knowing that he is no longer suffering and that his little dog Charlie is in his truck driving around the market. Miss you Richard you will be missed.
