Russell James Binks, 67, of Ottawa, ON passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2021, surrounded by his family. He had recently been diagnosed with cancer.

Russ is survived by his longtime friend and companion Jackie Eyamie; children Jimmy, Josh, Rebecca and Montana; grandchildren Kelly, Makayla, Russell, Anthony, Emma, Sasha, Ella, Terry, Faith, Connie and DJ; his brothers John and Bentley Binks, Andrew and William Stewart. As well as many nephews, a niece, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded by his parents, James and Madeline; his brother Mark, and his sister Anne. (He will be happy to be reunited with them.)

Russ was a famously solid man, truly one of a vanishing breed. He was respected by family and friends alike for always being true to his word, for standing beside those he loved through any troubles. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

There will be a Celebration of Life event, sometime later this summer.
