Entouré de sa famille, Jacques C. Beauchamp est décédé paisiblement à son domicile, mardi le 3 septembre 2019, à l’âge de 91 ans. Les familles pionnier Beauchamp/Laurin du Lac Beauchamp (Gatineau). Il a travaillé 39 ans comme Ingénieur civil en chef des ponts pour Travaux Publics Canada où il était responsable des projets relatifs aux ponts fédéraux d’un océan à l’autre, y compris le pont Portage et de la Confédération. Administrateur des écoles catholique d’Ottawa durant 17 années. En 1970, Il fut déterminant dans l’établissement du programme d’immersion française et de l’école d’arts de Canterbury. En plus d’être habile athlète, il était artiste multidisciplinaire de la Renaissance, maître-charpentier, activiste bénévole et porte-parole de la santé mentale.

Monsieur Beauchamp laisse dans le deuil son épouse Margaret Mary Lynch, ses enfants : John (Trena), Michele (décédé) Mary Anne (Adam), Helen (Chip), Jacques et Pierre (Kathleen), ses petits-enfants : Fiona, Martin, Katie (Nick), Michelle, Pamela (Sam), Tim, Ben, Nick, Devon (Nicole) et Alanna (Brock), ainsi que ses arrières petits-enfants : Rylee, Kholsen, Evelyn, Alec, Eloise, Samson, Etta et Ella-nora.

Messe commémorative aura lieu samedi, le 14 septembre, à 11h à l’église Immaculate Heart of Mary, suivi d’une reception.

Peacefully at home with family by his side Jacques C. Beauchamp passed on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2019 at the age of 91 yrs.  Beauchamp/Laurin Pioneer Families Lac Beauchamp (Gatineau).  Former Chief bridge engineer, Public Works, Canada for 39 years, responsible for Federal Bridge projects from sea to sea to sea including Portage and Confederation Bridge.  Ottawa Catholic School trustee for 17 years.  Instrumental in establishing French Immersion in 1970, School for the Arts Canterbury. Competent athlete. Multidisciplinary Renaissance Artist. Master Carpenter. Volunteer activist. Impassioned advocate for Mental Health.

Mr. Beauchamp leaves in sorrow his wife Margaret Mary Lynch, children John (Trena), Michele (deceased) Mary Anne (Adam), Helen (Chip), Jacques, Pierre (Kathleen). Grand-children: Fiona, Martin, Katie (Nick), Michelle, Pamela (Sam), Tim, Ben, Nick, Devon (Nicole) and Alanna (Brock). Great grandchildren Rylee, Kholsen, Evelyn, Alec, Eloise, Samson, Etta and Ella-nora.

Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary church on Saturday, September 14 at 11:00. Reception will follow.

    So sorry to hear about the passing of Jacques.
    My condolences to you Margaret and your family.
    Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the memorial
    mass. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
    Certainly have good memories of the Beauchamp Family.
