This message is very much belated, but I only became aware of our loss of Jill today. I had known here since college days, and in recent years whenever I was in Ottawa – rare as I live in Calgary – we met for dinner and conversation. For me, she was defined be her candour and her kindness. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. I am deeply saddened, and Ottawa will seem like a more empty place for her not being there.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the words of our loving heavenly Father bring your family comfort and strength during this most difficult time as He promises to bring our loved ones back to life in a perfect world where there will be no more suffering or death (John 5:28-29 & Revelation 21:4).

Jill I will cherish the time that we had together even if it was way to short! It was wonderful to connect with my family …. and I will continue that connection with Jessica here on the island! Thank you for being my cuz! xoxo

My deepest condolences. Jill and I worked together. Jill was such a proud Grandmother and was always planning for the next adventure and weekend slumber party with her grandkids.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Jill had such a big heart. She would adopt middle aged or older dogs, so they could spend their final years with her. I’d often run into her, walking her dog in the neighbourhood. Hard to believe she’s gone.
