Jill Bauch passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 29th, 2018. Jill is survived by her two daughters Jessica Bauch (Jeff Ford), Nikki Rubino (Scott Rubino), her grandchildren Emily Ford, Lily Rubino, and Mia Rubino, She will be dearly missed be her siblings Lynne Danyo, Dilys Barton, and John Francis, along with many other friends and family. Jill was small in stature but a person of substance. To know her once was to make a friend for life. Her absence from this existence is a great loss to her beloved family and many great friends. Join us in remembering her luminous spirit on Friday, May 4th, 2018 from 2-5pm at First Memorial Funeral Services – Fairview Chapel (259 St. Patrick St. Ottawa, ON).
This message is very much belated, but I only became aware of our loss of Jill today. I had known here since college days, and in recent years whenever I was in Ottawa – rare as I live in Calgary – we met for dinner and conversation. For me, she was defined be her candour and her kindness. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. I am deeply saddened, and Ottawa will seem like a more empty place for her not being there.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the words of our loving heavenly Father bring your family comfort and strength during this most difficult time as He promises to bring our loved ones back to life in a perfect world where there will be no more suffering or death (John 5:28-29 & Revelation 21:4).
What a hoot, eh Jill? Here’s hoping for love and laughter in the great hereafter.
Jill I will cherish the time that we had together even if it was way to short! It was wonderful to connect with my family …. and I will continue that connection with Jessica here on the island! Thank you for being my cuz! xoxo
We will miss Jill.

My deepest condolences. Jill and I worked together. Jill was such a proud Grandmother and was always planning for the next adventure and weekend slumber party with her grandkids.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Farewell sweet friend. I’ve loved getting to know you better over the years and will never forget your impishness, openness and lovely spirit. Au revoir.
Jill had such a big heart. She would adopt middle aged or older dogs, so they could spend their final years with her. I’d often run into her, walking her dog in the neighbourhood. Hard to believe she’s gone.
This is such a shocker! I remember Jill and her smile from so many years ago. Doesn’t seem possible that she’s gone! My heartfelt sympathies to all her family and friends!
I will miss Jill at book club…her happy smile and sense of humour always made our evenings special.
