NANCY ALEXANDER (nee CONNERS) – Passed away peacefully at the New Orchard Lodge, Ottawa, on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Jock Alexander, loving mother of Hugh and Judi (previously deceased), grandmother of Jessica, and special aunt of Lianne. She was the eldest daughter of Hugh and Mary Conners (both deceased) and sister of Hugh (deceased), Dick (Paulette), Ted (Diane), and Judy (Glenn). Nancy grew up in the Glebe neighbourhood of Ottawa, graduated from Nursing at Kingston General Hospital and was very active at Glebe-St. James United church. A memorial service to honour her life will be held at Glebe-St. James, 650 Lyon St S, on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at New Orchard Lodge for their attention and many kindnesses. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, in Nancy’s memory.
