Robert (Bob) William Foster

Jul 28, 1944 - May 01, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert William Foster, who left us
peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Ottawa on July 28, 1944, Robert was a
devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather and great-grandfather, a cherished
brother, and a loyal friend to many.

Robert lived a full and generous life. He was a hardworking man who gave selflessly to
others and never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need. He had a big personality, a
booming laugh, and a zest for life that was contagious. He loved football, enjoyed a good
cigar and a fine glass of scotch, and found joy in gardening with his legendary green
thumb. Robert had a deep love for animals and most of all, he adored his family. His
greatest pride was watching his grandchildren grow and thrive and he cherished every
moment spent with them.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Diane Foster and their children Wayne
(Lori), Tina (Pierre) and Cindy (Shawn). He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren
Kylie(Joe), Justin, Brett(Katie), Corey(Taylor), Brittany(Ryan), Alyssa, Matthew and Jacob,
as well as his great-grandchildren Jameson, Walker and Sailor. Robert is also survived by
his brother, Earl Foster(Lorraine). Many nieces and nephews and his beloved pouch Bella.

He was predeceased by his parents, Juliette and Orville Foster and siblings Mildred
Sullivan and Victor Foster.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Robert’s honour on May 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00
PM at 3545 Leitrim Road, Building 268, Gloucester, Ontario. All who knew and loved Robert
are welcome to attend, share stories, and celebrate a life well lived.

Robert’s warmth, reliability, and sense of humor will live on in the hearts of all who were
lucky enough to know him. Our lives will never be the same without you.

    To Diane and family,
Our hearts are broken to hear that Bob is no longer with us. You have our warmest wishes as you mourn his loss, but words, no matter how kind, can never mend a broken heart.
In celebrating his life, we will mourn the passing of a man that was so large in life and will forever live on in those who loved him.
    With love,
    Sandy and Pat
