Obituary for Bruce Love

Jul 15, 2025 - Dec 20, 1956

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Bruce Kevin Charles Love, at his home on White Lake, on July 15, 2025, at the age of 68.
Born on December 20, 1956, in Ottawa, Bruce was a father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his two children; son Matthew Love (Tanya Kaye) and daughter Lindsay Love (Jason Grolway), three grandchildren; Chase Love-Grolway, Mason Love-Grolway, and Nova Love-Grolway, his mother Beverly Love (nee Avery) and sisters; Shauna Love and Darlene Love. He is predeceased by his father Herbert Love (2004) and brother Derek Love (2025).
Bruce will be remembered for his loyal heart, unyielding drive and steady courage, and his deep connection to nature. His legacy lives on through his family, his love for the outdoors, and the lives he touched with kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Bruce’s memory to MS Canada or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
A Celebration of Life for Bruce will be held on Friday August 8th, 2025, at 12 pm at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 638. We hope you can join us in sharing a funny story or memory of Bruce during the Celebration. If you would like to join us in saying a few words, please let us know at lindsay.love26@hotmail.com

Condolences to Aunt Bev, cousins Darlene and Shauna. He was one of my favourite cousins… always warm and friendly with something funny to say. He will be missed.

Your contagious laugh will be missed. Your gardening advise as well. But I will miss the most chating with you.

Mrs Love, Shauna and Darlene, deepest condolences on Bruce’s passing. I have fond memories of Bruce and the hijinks at the corner of Black Friars Rd and Manitou Dr so many years ago. Bruce was a kind thoughtful soul. He will be missed.
