It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Annabelle Dinel. She would have celebrated her 88th birthday on August 6th, a milestone that now feels both distant and precious.
She is survived by her son Michel (Mike) Dinel (former spouse Sandy) and her daughters Monique Tremblay (née Dinel) (spouse Rick Tremblay) and Joanne Gagné (née Dinel) (spouse Normand Gagné). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Steven (spouse Michelle), Krista Dinel, Nicholas Gagné (spouse Isabelle), and Ryan Gagné. Annabelle was also a great-grandmother to Jimmer and Nash Dinel.
She was a loving sister to Harvey (Sharon), David (Rose), Gaétan (Rachelle), Réjean (Valorie), and Clarence (Penelope). She was a dear aunt to Mindy Pitre, Lacey Pitre, Sean Pitre, Christopher Pitre, Guy Pitre, and Lisa Pitre. Annabelle was the only daughter of Émile Pitre and Gaétane (Chauvin) and the former wife of Gérard Dinel.
She enjoyed camping under the vast skies of Manitoulin Island and exploring the rugged beauty of the East Coast. She taught her children how to travel, sleep in a tent trailer, and make salmon sandwiches for road trips.
Annabelle loved listening to music and playing her guitar, singing “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” with her children. They find comfort knowing their mom is reunited with her brother, Harvey, playing guitar and singing country songs. She could be playing a game of mini putt with her brother Pete, who would be chuckling at the way she’d gently push that ball right into the cup. Annabelle will be picking blueberries at her favourite places near the French River, Noëlville, and Val Caron (Sudbury), Ontario
There will be a private family service. Instead of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Why not play a game of mini putt in her memory or strum a few chords on a guitar? So many special moments shared with this beautiful kind lady. She was incredibly proud of her children and her smile just radiated around her grandchildren. I loved my drives to Chelmsford and the lively Pitre family. She took great pride in her home and made sure it was well cared for. Only lady l knew who ironed pillow cases and sheets. The best part she also loved to take care of her skin. There were always so many new Avon products she allowed me to try. I thought l was at a spa. God has a new Angel that will he watching over her family with loving arms. Rest in Peace.
