With broken hearts we announce the passing of my sweet mama, Annabelle Claire Dinel, on July 30th 2025 surrounded by her loved ones at Cornwall community hospital. Annabelle lived for 87 years, a week shy of her 88th birthday.
She leaves behind many hearts who were deeply touched by her love. Her loving daughter Joanne Annabelle Gagne (spouse Norman) supported Annabelle in all of life’s challenges. In addition, Nicholas Gagne (spouse Isabelle) and Ryan Gagne, loved their grand-mother dearly and have many cherished memories to fill their hearts for many lifetimes. Additionally, her wonderful brothers Dave Pitre (spouse Rose), Clarence Pitre (spouse Penny) and Gaetan Pitre (spouse Rachel). Lastly, Michel, Monique, Krista, Steven and great grand-children.
A brave soul who graced our lives with compassion and benevolence, Annabelle always found a moment to ask about our pets, Luna and Misty, as she had a great love for animals.
As you reach the gates of heaven, it brings great comfort knowing Annabelle is meeting her grand-daughter, Jessica, for the very first time and they will care for eachother until we meet again. Those you knew in life, you will now join in death, your mother and father and your brothers Pete and Harvey.
As we bid goodbye to Annabelle, her legacy will live on as we carry a part of her with us everyday. My dear mama, I have been blessed to love you in life and I will continue to love you still. Meet me on the swing for our cup of tea and daily chat.
A Million Times
You never said, “I’m leaving,” you never said goodbye. You were gone before I knew it, and only God knew why.
A million times we’ve needed you, a million times we’ve cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life, we loved you dearly, in death, we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a place, no one else will ever fill.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. Part of us went with you, The day God took you home.
