William Alexander Leach passed away peacefully with his wife Silvia of 60 years at his side. He is predeceased by his sister Donna.
He will be missed by his daughter Teri, his son Jim, daughter in law Soon Hee and special grandson Tommy.
Bill had many life long friends. He was a teacher with the Carleton Board for many years and before that in military as peace keeper in the Middle East. Bill enjoyed flying his airplanes with Ron and hunting with Bill F.
Bill and Silvia spent their retirement years travelling and cruising.
He will be sorely missed.
A. Sylvia, Jimmy and Teri, I was sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Bill. All of those holidays to Florida each one a different trip and never dull. Being included in so many of the Leach family trips as a child and teenager, I have so many fond memories and a love for road trips! There were so many fun times and my life is richer for having known Bill. Lisa
Thanks Lisa. We all had a good time travelling. Silvia
memorable moments with Bill
Sipping whiskey at the scotch brewery in Japan
Demolition day for kitchen renovations in Osgoode
Playing craps at Lac Lemay
Winning euchre games against the girls
Cruising many places with Bill always getting his special “Bill desserts ”
Early Christmases so your family headed off to Florida
Dark rum with no ice
We had a great run
Will miss you
Jim and Holly Watt

I recalled all those visits in Ottawa over the years. Bill and Silvia always very welcoming. Bill and I used to talk about our flying days and serving in the military.( I served in the auxiliary police ) He had a dry sense of humour!
I really regretted that I couldn’t go visit Bill last Easter !!
He will be greatly missed!!
All my thoughts and prayers go out to Silvia and her family !! 🙏🙏

Thank you for your sympathy. I remember Bill playing with you and Dawn anx Mark when children on our visits
Mr. William Alexander Leach. I was so used to calling him ‘Bill’, ‘Billie’ , ‘Billy’, ‘William The Great’, ‘ William The Conqueror’ . I could still, very vividly recall when I first met you and Silvia on October 5th of 2010. I can still very vividly recall having dinner with both you and Silvia. And if the weather was already getting nicer, I’d always say: Hey Bill, it’s nice outside. We should go and hangout at Mooney’s Bay…. or you should go to Miami and enjoy the sun’.
Oh how time flies indeed. My first several years in Canada was definitely a LOT BETTER because of Bill and Silvia’s hospitality and friendship.
William, . . . you are truly going to be missed.
Thank you Eric, so true.
