In Loving Memory of Suzanne Burechailo

March 14, 1923 – February 13, 2017

Suzanne Yvonne Burechailo was born in Gullegem, Belgium on March 14, 1923 to George and Rachel Devos. She is survived by her sons Ken and Randy, their wives Bonny and Lynn, and her grandchildren, Sari and Brendan. She was a dedicated servant of Jehovah God, baptized on May 15, 1939.

On July 5, 1947 she wed John D. Burechailo. Together, they built a life in the service of Jehovah, being among the first members of the Port Colborne, ON Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and serving together there for more than 50 years. It was there that they raised their sons.  In 2002, following the death of her husband, she moved to Ottawa to be near her family.

From a young age, Mom had strong faith in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection when Jehovah God will remember his loyal ones who have fallen asleep in death and bring them back to life on a paradise earth, young and healthy.

“If a main dies, can he live again? …You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.”

 – Job 14:14, 15

The family would like to express our appreciation for the loving kindness and support of our spiritual brothers and sisters who visited Mom and encouraged her during her illness, and for all of your prayers in our behalf.

We would also like to thank those that cared for Mom’s personal needs for the last years of her life. Your genuine concern and support will not soon be forgotten.
