He possessed a sharp wit and a personality that could fill any space, always finding a way to crack a joke or lift the mood when those around him needed it most. He was a man of real, unfiltered character who left his mark on this world.<br \/>\nThe truest part of Mike&rsquo;s story was always his children. He always said that the absolute best thing he ever did in his life was become a father. His pride in his kids was fierce and unwavering.<br \/>\nMike is survived by his four children, Aiden, Gwynevere, Maverik, and Korbin, and their mother, Tiffany Smiley. They will carry the very best parts of his humour, his laughter, and his love in their hearts forever.<br \/>\nHe is survived by his parents, John Albert Gassien and Elizabeth Gassien, as well as his siblings, Barry Allen, Molly Allen, Cathy Gassien, and Chuck Gassien.<br \/>\nCremation arrangements are in the care of First Memorial Funeral Services in Ottawa.
