Erik was the son of the late Par Viktor and E. Louise Wessman of Liverpool, Nova Scotia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Erik is survived by his wife Joan (Creaser) and sons Lars (Diane) and Harold (Tracy) and granddaughters La\u00efs and Emma of Ottawa. Erik is also survived by his sisters Karin (Allen) in Liverpool and Maja-Lisa (David Thomson) in Kingston and by numerous nieces,\u00a0 nephews and dear friends.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Erik was a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax and studied Engineering Physics. He spent his career with the Department of National Defence in Ottawa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the years Erik spent many happy hours playing tuba with various musical groups and always sought to fill our home with the sound of classical music.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There will be a cremation followed by a private celebration of life later this year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The family offers special thanks to the kind and helpful staff at Montfort Hospital.
