In loving memory of Lyse Ramsden, n\u00e9e Sabourin, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 30th, 2022 at the age of 89. Lyse was born in Ripon and moved to Ottawa to raise her family. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Ramsden. Daughter of the late Donaldo Sabourin and Gilberte (n\u00e9e Joubert). Lyse will be missed by her loving children Natalie (Reg), Eric (Ang\u00e8le), and Tom (Anne). Cherished grandmother to Cooper, Devon, Reed, Xavier, and Zoe. She was the beloved sister to Robert and Charles and predeceased by her siblings Richard, Alain, Michel, and Tilou. Lyse will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved very much.<\/p>\n
Lyse was an inspirational teacher, devoted wife, and caring mother. She had a passion for music and theater. Lyse was a member of the church choir and enjoyed attending various performances at the NAC. She loved learning and continued taking courses throughout her life. She began her career as a teacher in a one room schoolhouse from a very early age and was loved by her students at Lakeview Public School. She also devoted much of her spare time as a volunteer in the community.<\/p>\n
Lyse was known for her kindness, compassion, and tremendous generosity. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and the arts. She will be sadly missed by all.<\/p>\n
