• In Loving Memory of Albert Rutt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Rutt.  He died peacefully at home on September 3, 2026, at the age of 94.

He was predeceased by his parents Lorna Kennedy and Albert; his brothers Russell and Gerald; and his sisters Ramona Bachiu and Barbara Higginson.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Paulette Normand (1981); and his second wife, Adeline Crete (2009).

He will be missed by his three children, Robert, Joanne Lemieux (Rick) and Daniel; his 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  His companion for more than 10 years, Pauline Tetreault, and her family will also miss him.

Al was born in Windsor, ON.   He was stationed in Ottawa when he joined the Canadian Armed Forces (Mapping and Charting Establishment), and retired after 30 years of service. Always willing to help others, he also enjoyed baking his own cookies and brownies and sharing with others.  He had a lifelong commitment to fitness and health.  He lived his last three years at the Redwoods Retirement Residence where he continued to enjoy his independence and his daily workouts in the gym.

As per his request, there will be no service. A private burial will be at a later date.
