Edith Fay Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce Fay passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2018 at the age of 83.  Gone to be with her loving husband Robert Carl Smith.  Cherished mother of Kimberly (Michel Beauchemin) and Heather Dawn.  Loving grandmother to Jason (Sheila), James (Monique), Caitlin, Aneka and Wesley James and great-grandmother to Claira and Asher.  The family would like to thank Dr. Enright and the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for all of their compassion and care.  A special thank you to all of Fay’s friends at the Elmsmere Villa.  Friends and family may attend a visitation at First Memorial Funeral Services – Fairview Chapel (259 St. Patrick St. Ottawa, ON) on Friday, April 6th from 7 – 9pm.  A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 9th at the Community Pentecostal Church (1825 St. Joseph Blvd, Orleans, ON) at 11am with a reception following in the church hall.  Interment at Beechwood cemetery will be held at a later date.

    Thinking of the Smith family during this difficult time. I remember the birthday parties and times spent playing activities outside of Fay and Bob’s house. Thoughts and Prayers.

    Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Fay. What an amazing lady and the most kind and loving person the world has known. Many memories of spending time with Fay sharing family meals , holidays, or just sitting around having tea listening to her wonderful stories of the past. Her backyard garden always spectacular with color! You will be missed Fay. Godspeed and those wings look fabulous on you beautiful earth angel 😇

    Our sincerest condolences to Kim, Heather, family and friends on the passing of Fay, our Aunt. Although we haven’t seen Fay in years, we do have fond and wonderful memories….she was a good person and always fun to be around.
